On September 28, 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of Earth Dash 3 Bacnotan, an initiative that not only focused on environmental sustainability but also empowered young people like me to take action. As a Red Cross Youth volunteer, I joined over 200 participants in making a real difference for our planet.

With the theme “Seeds of Change: Growing Green, Saving Bees, and Weaving a Better Future,” Earth Dash 3 highlighted how small efforts can lead to big impacts. One of the most fulfilling moments for me was taking part in the planting of 150 tree seedlings. Seeing the young trees take root in the soil made me realize that I was contributing to something bigger—helping combat deforestation and climate change, one tree at a time.

Beyond tree planting, I also participated in engaging discussions about bee preservation. I learned just how vital these pollinators are to biodiversity and food security, and how urgent it is to protect them. The event also introduced me to silk farming and weaving, which opened my eyes to how tradition and sustainability can come together to support local livelihoods.

Looking back, my experience at Earth Dash 3 was nothing short of life-changing. Thanks to IFRC Limitless, I saw firsthand how youth-led initiatives can spark real, lasting change. This event reminded me that we, as young individuals, have the power to shape a greener, more sustainable future.

As Earth Dash continues to grow, I feel honored to be part of a movement that nurtures young leaders and changemakers. Every tree we planted, every lesson we learned, and every action we took brought us one step closer to a better world. And I’m proud to be part of that journey.
