There are moments in life that leave a lasting impact, and for me, Earth Dash 2: Mangrove Planting, Enrichment, and Rehabilitation Project in Bauang was one of them. As a volunteer, I wasn’t just part of an event—I was part of a movement dedicated to protecting our planet and making a real difference.
The day started with excitement as we gathered at Bakawan Eco-Tourism Park in Barangay Parian Oeste.
Volunteers from different backgrounds—Red Cross Youth members, environmental advocates, and local representatives—came together with a shared mission: to restore our coastal ecosystem. The energy in the air was electric, filled with enthusiasm and hope.
Beyond the environmental work, Earth Dash 2 was also about building connections. Whether it was sharing stories with new friends, dancing together, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, every moment felt meaningful. The presence of inspiring figures like Anjali Camacho Pradeep Kumar, Mutia ti Agri-Turismo 2023, further reinforced the importance of youth involvement in sustainability efforts.
Looking back, Earth Dash 2 wasn’t just about planting trees—it was about planting hope, passion, and responsibility for future generations. It was a reminder that we all have a role to play in protecting our environment, and when we come together, we can create lasting change. I will always carry this experience with me, and I encourage others to join in future Earth Dash initiatives. Trust me, it’s a journey you won’t forget.
